What this space is

This community exists for you to ask questions, share resources, and get the help you actually need. We're here to figure things out together, whether that's clarifying content, working through exam technique, or just needing to talk through something that hasn't clicked.

I'm always checking in. If you're struggling with something, please share it here. That's exactly what this group is for. You're never the first person to find something tricky, and you won't be the last, but when you name it, everyone learns from it.

I've just finished updating my review of six years of AQA examiner reports, one of the most consistent issues I’m seeing is a research methods terminology mix-up.

Examiners have repeatedly flagged weaknesses in students’ understanding and use of key research methods terminology.

In five of the last six exam series I analysed, examiner reports highlighted issues around students:

• Being unable to accurately explain sampling methods

• Struggling to describe participant sampling clearly

• Confusing participant sampling with time sampling or event sampling

Slowly getting back to everyone's emails regarding results day!

It has been so great to hear such positive results from so many of you, and I am excited to see what the next chapter brings for you all!

To anyone who has not had the best of days...please do not worry! These grades do not define you, and there is a reason clearing exists. Sometimes you have to change direction, and that is okay ❤️
