How much do lessons cost?Lessons start from £35 per session for GCSE Maths and £38 per session for A-Level Psychology (AQA only). This fee includes access to lesson notes, additional resources, and the option of up to 30 minutes of homework review to support your student’s learning outside of sessions. Please note that additional charges may apply for the review of test papers or the provision of revision booklets (subject to availability), and any additional fees will be communicated in advance. For sessions longer or shorter than the standard lesson time, please note that prices are not calculated proportionally due to the preparation involved. For specific information on pricing for custom session lengths, please contact us directly.

What is the duration and frequency of sessions? Our standard sessions are 55 minutes long. While longer sessions can be requested, we recommend that students work for no longer than 1 hour and 30 minutes without a break to maintain focus and effectiveness. Shorter sessions may also be available upon request, provided they support the student’s academic journey. We will assess if these sessions are appropriate for your child’s needs to ensure they remain beneficial. For optimal academic progress, we recommend a minimum of one session per week. This consistent schedule helps students build and reinforce skills while allowing for a strong rapport to develop between tutor and student. Lesson scheduling is flexible, and many students find a regular weekly time slot helpful for managing their schedules and establishing a routine. Individual lessons can be cancelled or rescheduled if needed (please refer to our terms and conditions). However, we suggest limiting changes to maintain steady progress. If your circumstances change, it’s also possible to rearrange the regular weekly session time (subject to availability). During holidays and exam periods, additional sessions may be offered. These can be booked through the online portal on a first-come, first-served basis.
-
How do I pay for lessons?Payment for lessons is managed through our online portal. In the portal, you can easily add and manage your payment methods, whether by bank account or credit card. You’ll also be able to view past invoices, check your current account balance, and see any upcoming charges. This allows you to stay on top of payments and manage your account seamlessly.
-
Can I monitor my child's progress?Yes, you can easily track your child’s progress through the online portal. After each session, feedback on what was covered, your child’s strengths, and areas for improvement will be provided. You can also review progress reports and communicate directly with tutors to stay informed about your child’s academic development.
-
Do you offer support for homework and assignments? While we cannot complete your child's homework or assignments in our session, in accordance with academic integrity guidelines, we can definitely help them understand the material. During our sessions, we will focus on teaching the skills and concepts related to their homework and provide practice with similar exam-style questions. This approach helps your student gain confidence and perform better on their own. See my terms and conditions for more information
-
What technology do we need?Lessons are conducted through Google Meet, which can be accessed on most devices. For each session, we’ll provide a secure link that your student can easily join. During lessons, students will also use 'Scribble,' a whiteboard software that allows them to make notes and collaborate on questions in real-time. There’s no need for a separate subscription or login, and content can be easily downloaded for future use. In addition to the live sessions, your student will have access to additional resources through Google Drive. These resources are designed to support revision and encourage independent learning, helping your student stay on track between sessions. To get the most out of the sessions, your student will need a laptop or tablet with a webcam. Headphones are recommended, especially in noisier environments, to help maintain focus. A secure and stable internet connection is also essential to ensure smooth, uninterrupted lessons
-
What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule a session?I understand that things come up. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, you can do so directly through our online portal. I ask that you provide at least 48 hours' notice to avoid any cancellation fees. Sessions can be rescheduled subject to availability. See our full terms and conditions.
