FIX YOUR EXAM TECHNIQUE: AQA A-LEVEL PSYCHOLOGY
About the Masterclass
You can know the content inside out and still walk out of an AQA Psychology exam without the marks you deserved. That gap between effort and results is almost always a technique problem, not a knowledge one.
I've analysed the AQA Examiner Reports year on year, and what concerns me is how often the same mistakes come up again and again. AQA Psychology rewards specific things: precise phrasing, structured application, tight evaluation. If you don't know what that looks like in practice, you'll keep leaving marks on the table no matter how hard you revise. This masterclass shows you exactly what examiners reward and how to give it to them.
In one focused hour, we'll work through the 5 structural errors flagged repeatedly in AQA Examiner Reports, mark real student answers together, and practise rewriting weak responses into top-band ones live. You'll leave with a clear, practical method you can apply to every question in your mocks and every exam after them.
Whether you're in Year 12 building strong habits early or in Year 13 with mocks around the corner, these techniques apply to every AQA Psychology paper.
KNOWING THE CONTENT IS NOT ENOUGH
So why do hard-working students keep losing marks?
I've read the AQA Examiner Reports year on year, and the same message comes up every time: students arrive at their exams with the knowledge, but not the technique to turn it into marks. Seeing the same mistakes repeated year after year is exactly why I built this session.
The difference between a B and an A isn't always about working harder or learning more. It's about understanding exactly what the mark scheme is looking for, and knowing how to give it precisely that.
AQA Psychology questions are structured to reward specific things: the right level of detail in AO1, accurate and contextualised application in AO2, and coherent, two-sided evaluation in AO3. Students who don't know how to structure their answers to hit those criteria will keep dropping marks, even on content they know well.
The good news is that technique is a learnable skill. Once you know the patterns the mark scheme rewards, you can apply them to any question, on any topic, in any exam. That is exactly what this session teaches.

Meet your Tutor!
HI, I'M GEORGIE
Hi, I'm Georgie. I've spent over five years working with AQA Psychology students, and the same pattern comes up again and again: students who have genuinely worked hard, but whose exam answers don't reflect that effort because the technique isn't there yet.
I don't run sessions that ask you to memorise more content. I focus on the mechanics of the exam itself, how to read a question, how to satisfy the mark scheme, and how to structure a response so it picks up the marks it deserves. I track past paper trends and Examiner Report data so I can show you exactly where students gain and lose marks, and build your technique around that.
If you're walking into mocks knowing the content but not trusting your answers, this is exactly the kind of session I've built for you.
