Revision That Hits the Mark
In the final weeks before exams, the biggest challenge isn't just how to revise, but what to revise. My approach moves away from guesswork and focuses on statistical analysis of the AQA specification.
By mapping every question that has appeared since the first 2017 series, we can identify clear patterns in how AQA operates. The exam board often follows logical cycles, frequently revisiting high-yield areas or examining topics that haven't appeared for several years.
How I Use Trend Analysis:
Mapping Frequency: I track how often specific sub-topics appear to identify "common staples" versus "rare outliers."
Identifying Gaps: AQA often focuses on areas that have been "neglected" in recent papers. We use this to ensure you aren't caught off guard by a topic that hasn't been seen in a while.
Question Style Patterns: Certain topics are consistently paired with specific question types (e.g., 16-mark essays vs. 4-mark applications). I show you how to prepare for the format as much as the content.
Targeted, Not Random
While it is impossible to guarantee exactly what will be on the paper, this is the most effective and targeted way to spend your final revision hours. Instead of spreading your energy thin across the entire specification, we focus on the areas with the highest statistical likelihood of appearing.
