PARENT/GUARDIAN/STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT

Parent/Guardian Code of Conduct:

 

Parents/Guardians are expected to:

a. Use the portal to make changes to lessons.

b. Keep the tutor informed of any feedback from school, including test results, mock exams, and feedback from parents' evenings.

c. Review lesson notes and address any highlighted issues promptly.

d. Maintain up-to-date contact details via the portal.

e. Encourage and support their children in their learning and communicate any issues or additional needs with the tutor.

f. Provide a suitable environment at home for their child to work effectively.

g. Ensure their child completes home learning on time and to the highest standard.

 

Student Code of Conduct:

Students are expected to:

a. Arrive on time for each session.

b. Keep their cameras on during lessons.

c. Work diligently and actively participate in every lesson and additional activity.

d. Complete all homework assignments to the highest standard and submit them on time.

e. Keep the tutor informed of any feedback from school, including test results or mocks.

f. Communicate professionally, using appropriate language and tone in all interactions.

g. Ensure their hardware and software are in good working condition, including a reliable internet connection.

h. Participate in tutoring sessions from a quiet and organised environment, free from distractions.

i. Respond promptly to messages from the tutor regarding tutoring sessions.

 

Tutor Code of Conduct:

The tutor undertakes to:

a. Prepare thoroughly for each lesson and structure lessons to optimise student learning.

b. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanour in all interactions with students, parents, and guardians.

c. Arrive punctually for each tutoring session, ideally prepared five minutes in advance.

d. Use professional language and appropriate tone in all communications, avoiding slang and inappropriate speech.

e. Ensure their hardware and software are in good working condition, including familiarity with Google Meet features.

f. Create a conducive learning environment free from distractions.

g. Maintain open communication with parents and guardians, providing clear and constructive feedback.

h. Keep availability updated in the calendar.

i. Prioritise student welfare and safety, adhering to the Safeguarding Policy and reporting any concerns promptly.

j. Utilise educational resources and tools effectively to enhance the learning experience.

k. Refrain from completing homework or assignments on behalf of students.
