GENERAL TERMS OF SERVICE
These General Terms apply to every service I provide. Please read them alongside the terms for the specific service you are booking.
1. About me
GeorgieMTutoring is the trading name of Georgina Morris, a sole trader based in England. In these terms, "I", "me" and "my" mean GeorgieMTutoring. "You" means the person booking and paying for a service, and "the student" means the person receiving it (which may also be you).

Based in: Bournemouth, Dorset
2. How my terms fit together
Each service I offer has its own terms (One-to-One Tuition, The Psychology Study Club, Masterclasses & Short Programmes, and Online Courses & Digital Products). These General Terms apply to all of them. If a service's own terms say something different, the service's terms apply for that service.
My Privacy & Cookie Policy, Safeguarding Policy and Code of Conduct & Community Guidelines also apply to every service.
3. Who can book
You must be 18 or over to book a paid service. If the student is under 18, you confirm that you are their parent or legal guardian, or that you have their parent or guardian's permission, and that you accept these terms on the student's behalf.
4. Bookings
A booking is confirmed when I accept it and your payment (or first payment) is received. I may decline any booking at my discretion.
Descriptions of my services on my website and in marketing are a general guide. Content, structure, scheduling, delivery methods and platforms may be adapted over time to meet students' needs and the specification.
It is your responsibility to check that a service suits the student's exam board, level and year group before booking.
5. Fees and payment
Fees are those shown at the point of booking or on your invoice. I may change my fees for future bookings at any time.
Payment must be made in full and on time, in pounds sterling (GBP). Any bank, currency or transfer charges are your responsibility.
If a payment fails or is late, I may pause access to the service until it is paid, apply any late payment charge set out in that service's terms, and end the service if payment is not made.
6. Your right to cancel within 14 days
6.1 If you book as a consumer online, by phone or by email, you normally have 14 days from the day your booking is confirmed to cancel without giving a reason.
6.2 Services that start straight away. If you ask me to start a service within those 14 days (which you do by completing a booking or purchase for a service that begins immediately), and you then cancel within the 14 days, you will pay for the part of the service provided up to the point you tell me you are cancelling. Once a service has been fully provided, you no longer have the right to cancel it.
6.3 Digital content. Some services include digital content, such as recordings, videos, online courses or downloadable resources. If you agree to get immediate access and acknowledge that you will lose your right to cancel, your right to cancel that digital content ends once access begins.
6.4 How to cancel. Tell me clearly that you want to cancel, by email to the address in section 1, through your account where that option is available, or using the form at the end of these terms. You must send this before the 14 days end.
6.5 Refunds. I will refund anything owed within 14 days of receiving your cancellation, using the payment method you used, less any amount due under 6.2.
6.6 After the 14 days, the cancellation rules in the specific service's terms apply.
7. Changes and cancellations by me
I may change the date, time, format, content, platform or delivery method of a service where I reasonably need to. If I cancel a service entirely and cannot offer a suitable alternative, I will refund you for any part you have paid for but not received.
I am not responsible for delays or failure to provide a service caused by events outside my reasonable control, such as illness, emergencies, or outages of internet or third-party platforms. In those cases I will let you know as soon as I reasonably can and offer a rescheduled session, a credit or a refund for anything not delivered.
8. Outcomes
My services are designed to support learning, confidence and exam preparation. Results depend on many factors outside my control, including the student's own effort and engagement, so I cannot guarantee any particular grade, result or outcome.
9. My materials
All materials I provide (including recordings, videos, slides, workbooks, worksheets, model answers, quizzes and feedback) belong to me. You and the student may use them for the student's own personal study while you have access.
You must not copy, share, sell, publish, upload (including into AI tools or other websites), or pass materials to anyone who has not paid for access, without my written permission. Students must not record live sessions.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes my liability for death or personal injury caused by my negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited or excluded. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights, including your right to services provided with reasonable care and skill.
If I fail to meet these terms, I am responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of that failure. I am not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for problems caused by your own device, software, internet connection or environment, or for exam results.
Subject to the paragraphs above, my total liability to you for any service is limited to the fees you have paid for that service.
11. Third-party platforms
I use third-party platforms to take bookings and payments, run live sessions, host resources and communities, and communicate with you. Their own terms may also apply. I may change the platforms I use at any time.
12. Suspending or ending a service
I may suspend or end a service immediately if you or the student seriously or repeatedly break these terms, the Code of Conduct & Community Guidelines, or the terms of the service; if payment is not made; or if I have a safeguarding concern. Where this is because of a breach, I am not required to refund fees for that period, although I will consider each case fairly.
13. Promotions, discounts and free extras
From time to time I may offer discount codes, introductory offers or free extras (such as bonus courses or resources). Each offer is subject to any conditions stated when it is made. Unless I say otherwise, offers have no cash value, cannot be combined with other offers, can be withdrawn at any time, and free extras end when the paid service they came with ends.
14. Reviews and testimonials
I may invite you to leave a review. Reviews must reflect your genuine experience. I do not pay for or incentivise positive reviews, and I only publish reviews that have been shared with me for that purpose, using a first name or initials unless you agree otherwise.
15. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any part of my service, please email me at the address in section 1. I will acknowledge your complaint, look into it fairly, and reply as soon as I reasonably can.
16. Changes to these terms
I may update these terms at any time, and the version published on my website applies from the date it is posted. I am not required to notify you of changes. If a change significantly affects a subscription or prepaid service you already have, I will let you know before it takes effect and you may cancel before then.
17. General
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. Only you and I have rights under these terms. I may transfer my rights under these terms to another person or business, provided this does not reduce your rights.
14-day cooling-off cancellation form
This form is only for cancelling within the 14-day cooling-off period in section 6, and using it is optional. It isn't needed for normal cancellations, such as cancelling a Study Club subscription through your account or cancelling a lesson, which are covered in each service's terms.
