Service Description
These small-group sessions run every other Wednesday at 17:30 and are designed to give students clear teaching, exam-focused guidance, and a calm, structured space to build confidence. Each group (Foundation and Higher) is capped at 7 students, ensuring everyone receives personalised support while still benefiting from learning alongside others at the same level. 🔎 What Is the Maths Study Club? The Maths Study Club is a structured support programme that helps GCSE students build confidence, practise consistently, and improve their exam technique. It combines: • Regular exam-style papers • Personalised marking and RAG sheets • Topic walkthrough videos • A supportive learning community • Optional teaching sessions through the Accelerator tier It is designed to reduce students' feelings of being overwhelmed, guide revision effectively, and give students a clear routine they can rely on each month. 🚀 What Is the Study Accelerator Tier? The Study Accelerator tier includes everything from the Study Support plan, plus two live lessons per month delivered in small groups for just £65 per month. These lessons are ideal for students who: • Struggle with confidence • Need more explanation and guided examples • Want to strengthen exam technique • Benefit from being taught rather than revising independently • Enjoy or prefer a structured learning environment Students attend one session every two weeks, alternating between Foundation and Higher weeks. 📅 Session Structure & What Students Can Expect Every session is designed to feel predictable, supportive, and focused. Students can expect the same three-part structure each time: 1. Retrieval Warm-Up (5–10 minutes) A short quiz to recap previous learning and identify what the group needs most. This helps students settle in, recall key skills, and build confidence early on. 2. Core Teaching & Guided Examples (25–30 minutes) We break down essential concepts clearly and model step-by-step methods. Students learn: • What method to use • How to structure their working • How to avoid common errors • Why each step matters This section builds strong understanding and confidence. 3. Exam Question Application (15–20 minutes) Students apply what they’ve learned to exam-style questions, with guidance and feedback. We walk through working, highlight exam technique, and show students how to maximise marks.
