These terms apply to membership of The Psychology Study Club, alongside my General Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Safeguarding Policy and Code of Conduct & Community Guidelines.

1. What the Study Club is

The Study Club is a monthly membership for students studying AQA A-Level Psychology. Membership may include live online teaching sessions, a resource library, an online community and other features, as described on my website at the time you join. The structure, schedule, content, cohorts and platforms may change over time.

It is your responsibility to check the student is studying the AQA specification and that the cohort or level suits their year group before joining.

2. Membership levels

The Study Club may offer more than one membership level. All students start on the entry level. Places on any higher level are limited and offered by invitation at my discretion, based on factors such as engagement and attendance. Moving back to a lower level, or moving up again later, is subject to availability.

3. Payment

Membership is a rolling monthly subscription, paid in advance. Your first payment is taken when you join and then on the same date each month until you cancel. Fees are those shown at the point of joining, subject to section 12.

The Study Club runs during term time. Any breaks in billing, such as over the summer, will be as described when you join. If a payment fails, access is paused until it is resolved.

4. One membership per student

Each membership is for one named student only. Logins, session links and access must not be shared with anyone else. Doing so may result in your membership being ended immediately without a refund.

5. Your right to cancel within 14 days

Membership starts as soon as you join. By joining, you ask for your membership to begin straight away. You have 14 days from joining to cancel, and if you haven't accessed any resources or sessions in that time, you will receive a full refund. Once you access any resources, your right to cancel them ends, and you will pay for any sessions provided up to the point you cancel. See section 6 of my General Terms.

6. Cancelling your membership

You can cancel at any time through your account, or by emailing me. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep access until then, and no partial refunds are given for the remainder of that period.

When your membership ends, access to all Study Club content ends too, including recordings, resources, the community and any courses. Please save any of the student's own work before then.

7. Live sessions and recordings

Where sessions need to be booked, the student is responsible for booking their place. Missed sessions are not refunded or replaced.

Live sessions are recorded and shared with members through the resource library. Other members may see the student's name, any messages they send in the chat, and their video or voice if they choose to use them. Students can keep their camera and microphone off and take part through the chat. Recordings are available for the current academic year only and are for members' personal study.

8. Community spaces

Members may be added to online community spaces, where their name and posts are visible to other members. Students can leave a community space at any time without affecting their membership. Community spaces are moderated in line with my Code of Conduct & Community Guidelines.

9. Submitted work and feedback

Where a membership level includes submitting work for feedback, deadlines will be stated with each task. Work submitted late may not receive feedback. Submitting work is optional. Feedback is for learning purposes only and does not guarantee any result. The student's work remains their own and is not shared with other members.

10. Founding Member pricing

Members who joined under a founding or early bird offer keep the membership rate they were given for the period promised when they joined, as long as their membership continues without cancellation. Scheduled breaks in billing do not count as cancelling. If the membership is cancelled at any other time, the founding rate is lost and any future membership is charged at the current rate. The founding rate applies to the monthly membership fee only.

11. Conduct

Members must follow my Code of Conduct & Community Guidelines. I may remove a member from a session, a community space or the Study Club without a refund for sharing access or materials, abusive or disruptive behaviour, or a serious breach of these terms.

12. Changes to the Study Club and these terms

I may update the Study Club and these terms at any time, and the version published on my website applies from the date it is posted. I am not required to notify you of changes. If a change significantly affects your membership (for example, a change to your monthly fee), I will let you know before it takes effect and you may cancel before then.
